The Misanthrope by French playwright, Molièr, follows Alceste, the protagonist and title character, through his life, discovering the shortcomings of society and social behavior and the follies of love.  Taking a modern twist, this production was part of the CalArts’ Actors Workshop.  The budget for the entire production was $300, and Madison worked within the limitations of the budget and a tricky space.
